Meanwhile Space Project Manager – Applications welcome Tuesday 24/10/17

Meanwhile Space Project Manager

Deadline for Application:  6 November 2017 @ 12pm

This is a new post to plan, evaluate and manage the implementation of a new meanwhile type space on a disused car park in the St James Street area of Waltham Forest on behalf of St James Street Big Local (SJBL). The project is integral to the achieving the collective vision in our Big Local Plan of a vibrant community meanwhile space on St James Street car park.

The Waltham Forest Council (Council) owned car park site has been identified within the Document as a site with potential for workspace and commercial led development. Before development comes forward the Council are keen to see the site used as a space for a creative meanwhile use. SJBL and the Council are now jointly seeking parties who are interested in using the space. The operator would be expected to build, finance and manage the site, which would be provided on a rent free basis.

On behalf of SJBL, the Project Manager will work with prospective meanwhile space partners, local residents, local businesses, the Council, and other stakeholders to build on the regeneration work happening in the area and develop a sense of community for all.
